Resident Commissioner Board Member Application
Lucas Metropolitan Housing (LMH) has an opening on its Board of Commissioner for the Resident Commissioner position. LMH invites residents to volunteer to serve and to help it achieve its mission. This volunteer, unpaid position, is open to all LMH Low Income Public Housing residents.
The person selected to fill the position is chosen by the City of Toledo, not by the current Board of Commissioners or LMH leadership. As a Board member, you will help establish LMH's budget and provide guidance and direction on how LMH can best provide quality housing for low and very low-income families in Lucas County.
As a Commissioner, you are responsible for supporting the Constitution of the State of Ohio, the Charter of the City of Toledo, and the ethics of public employment; attending a minimum of two monthly meetings; and serving in the fullest capacity in the best interest of the agency, its residents, housing choice voucher participants, and the community.
The Resident Commissioner will also be responsible for attending monthly board meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
